IN MEMORIAM Laura K. Maranz, 84; Area Native Missionary In So. America, Africa NORTH FRANKLIN – Louise Lura Knapp Maranz, 84, a missionary in Central and South America and Africa, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at her home in Christiansburg, Va. At her bedside were her husband, two daughters, son, son-in-law, and three grandchildren. She had suffered with Alzheimer’s for several years. She was born in N. Franklin on August 31, 1934, and graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1955.…
