ONEONTA – Beverly V. “Aunt Bet” Davenport, 79, a seamstress at Oneonta Dress Factory and Sanyo for more than 40 years, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
She was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Roxbury, daughter of the late Howard and Grace (Burgher) Oliver.

UNADILLA – Dorothy B. Peet, 104, of Unadilla, who retired from the Oneonta Dress Factory, passed away Tuesday morning Dec. 4, 2018, at Chestnut Park Nursing Home in Oneonta.
She was born on June 22, 1914, to William and Clara May (Bingham) Byam.
She was the widow of the late Edwin Peet and was predeceased by her son, John Edwin Peet and her sisters, Loretta & Ruth, her brothers, Howard, Walter, Floyd, Herbert and Harmon.
ONEONTA – Louise Elinor Puylara, also known to many of us as “Weezer”, 90, passed away on Nov. 6, 2018. She had lived at Otsego Manor for the past several years.
Born in Oneonta to Harold Cary and Theresa Bostwick Cary on March 7, 1928, Louise was a lifelong resident of the Oneonta area, marrying Alfred Puylara after his return home from World War II.
ONEONTA – Dorothy Joan Salluce, 94, a native of England who moved to the U.S. and Oneonta in 1945 when she was 22 years old, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Fox Nursing Home.
She was born April 5, 1923, in Sheffield, England, the daughter of the late Henry George and Edith (Davis) Clark. Dorothy grew up in England, where she was a championship swimmer and dancer and performed on stage.

ONEONTA – Anna E. Taggart, 94 years, 364 days and 12 hours old, passed away Feb. 21, 2017, just 12 hours shy of 95.
Anna was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Richfield Springs, the daughter of Lawrence Graves and Etta Bouton. She married Willis B. “Jiggs” Taggart at their family home in Oneonta, next to Foti’s Bakery.
