IN MEMORIAM: Mary Bassler, 94; Worked For 28 Years At Otesaga COOPERSTOWN – Mary Caroline Elwood Bassler, 94, who worked for decades at The Otesaga, passed away on Dec. 4, 2016, at Woodside Hall, Cooperstown, where she had lived since 2013. Mary was born on Oct. 23, 1922, in Cherry Valley, daughter of Ellis and Mary (Yost) Elwood. She graduated from Cherry Valley High School, and in 1941 married John Bassler.
