IN MEMORIAM: Florence W. Brown, 95; 2012 Springfield Parade Grand Marshal EAST SPRINGFIELD – Florence W. Brown, 95, former long-time Town of Springfield tax collector and grand marshal of the town’s 98th Fourth of July Parade, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at the St. Johnsvillve Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Nov. 7, 1921, in Canajoharie, to William and Nettie Mac (Higgins) Wells. She married Adelbert (Sam) Brown in Canajoharie on May 26, 1946.…
