THEY’RE OFF

Russell, Dewey In Today’s Boston Marathon

Pals from their Cooperstown Central days, Jacob Russell, left, and Patrick Dewey at this moment are running today’s Boston Marathon. Ed Rowley snapped this photo as they passed him and Judy Steiner, inset, this morning at the annual event. The marathoners surpassed their fundraising goal, $10,000, to benefit Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang camp in Ashford, Conn. College seniors Jacob is due to graduate from Harvard and Patrick from Edinboro in May.
