Vying At Doubleday At This Hour

The Wounded Warriors softball team is introduced a few minutes ago at Doubleday Field, where they are playing the Cooperstown Fire Department at this hour in a benefit game. A team fielded by Brewery Ommegang will round out the double-header.  (Jim Kevlin/allotsego.com)
Some 700 fans are populating the Doubleday Field grandstand and bleachers in Cooperstown at this hour, watching the Wounded Warriors softball team play the Cooperstown Fire Department team, the first game of a double-header.  The second game is against Brewery Ommegang.   Yesterday, the Warriors played in Oneonta’s Damaschke Field before 3,000 fans.  (Jim Kevlin/allotsego.com)
