WELLS BRIDGE –  Irene E. McCumber, 69, of Wells Bridge, mother of two and an avid quilter, of Wells Bridge died Wednesday. Oct. 21, 2015, at Bassett Hospital.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1945, in Leonardsville, NY to Robert W. & Charlotte (Dockstader) Schwenk and married Norman McCumber on Aug. 10, 1963, who survives her.

She is also survived by her 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Terry McCumber, Provincetown, Mass. and Kevin and Carol McCumber, Norwich; grandson Kyle McCumber; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Weldon Breaux, Louisiana, and Cindy and Tim Davis Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy Garrison, Oneonta, Anne Lyman, Albany, Sally and Louis Gage, Oneonta, and also several nieces and nephews.

She was a member Sand Hill United Methodist Church .

Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home, Unadilla, with the Rev. Justin Hood, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours are 1-3 at the funeral home prior to the service.
