Focus Resident Marks 100th

Focus Rehabilitation resident Asa Skaloud, a Czechoslovakia native who spent her career as a seamstress and hatmaker in Jackson Heights, Queens, blows out the candles on her 100th birthday cake this afternoon in the center's Mountainview neighborhood. Focus Rehabilitation resident Asa Skaloud, a Czechoslovakia native who spent her career as a seamstress and hatmaker in Jackson Heights, Queens, blows out the candles on her 100th birthday cake this afternoon in the center’s Mountainview neighborhood. Fellow residents sang “Happy Birthday” and congratulated her on the milestone.   1. There are a lot of good things coming from the nursing home. The dedicated workers, such as Amy Rose, Activities dept. and many others are helping residents each day doing a very difficult job. The name of the home may have changed but the residents are still our family, and friends and deserve our continued support especially at the holiday season. Remember the residents and staff in your thoughts and prayers.
