PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Fire Department – 38 years, Emergency Squad – 34 years, Hartwick Town Board Councilman – 12 years, Hartwick Town Supervisor – 4 years, Hartwick Highway Department – 9 years, Bassett Anesthesia Technician – 33 years.

COMMUNITY/POLITICAL INVOLVEMENT: Volunteer Fireman, Emergency Squad, Hartwick Historical Society, past member of Hartwick Rod And Gun Club, and lifelong Republican.

FAMILY: Wife Lori, daughter Bryn, son Brian.

IN TWO OR THREE SENTENCES, EXPLAIN YOUR PHILOSOPHY OF GOVERNMENT:

I believe that a government should try to provide good service to the taxpayers Taking care of the needs by having reliable highway equipment to maintain the roads under any conditions. Having emergency equipment to protect property and people when needed. This needs to be done and still maintain a reasonable budget.

WHAT ARE THE THREE MAJOR ISSUES THE HARTWICK TOWN BOARD FACES, AND HOW WOULD YOU ADDRESS THEM?

Balancing the budget with the loss of tax base by tax exempt property. Look at budget items and use reasonable amounts on budget lines to keep taxes within the cap. Replacing outdated equipment. Look at the needs of each department and prioritize. Decreasing the energy needs of town buildings. Improve efficiency by improving insulation and replacing outdated heating units.

WHAT QUALITIES/EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE THAT MAKES YOU THE BETTER CHOICE IN THIS RACE?

I have the experience as town supervisor and financial knowledge having worked with the State Comptrollers Office with the town audit.
