Madison County Baby Born On Christmas Day COOPERSTOWN – A Madison County baby was identified as the second birth at Bassett Hospital on Christmas Day. Harper Rey Newkirk, daughter of Shannon and Zakary Newkirk, Hamilton,  was born at 9:31 a.m. on Christmas, a month earlier than expected.
