MORRIS – The Morris Central School Drama Club “Awkward Silence” will be presenting Neil Simon’s “Rumors” at 7 p.m. this Friday and Saturday,  Jan. 29-30, in the school auditorium.  Admission, $8.

The show features Sophia Garry and Joe Card as Chris and Ken Gorman, Pete Wendler and Nicole Madero and Claire and Leonard Ganz, Maeve Kranbuhl and Isaac Whitbeck as Cookie and Ernie Cusack, and Deirdre Brett and Griffin Leboffe as Cassie and Glenn Cooper.  Rounding out the cast is Montana Tyler, Hope Gengenbach and Izzy Funk as the police sent to investigate the “crime”.

At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden’s Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

The fun abounds and the laughs will be plentiful.  For further information, please contact Joanne Telfer, Director, at 263-6100.  As always, thanks for your support.
