Due To Be City Personnel Director

ONEONTA – Common Council is scheduled to fill one of several key vacancies at the top of the City Hall hierarchy.

Katie Bottger, village clerk in Ames, south of Canajoharie in Montgomery County, is on the agenda for appointment as the city’s personnel director Tuesday evening.

A Canajoharie resident, she succeeds Kathy Wolverton, who resigned in October 2015.

A number of other appointments are planned when Common Council convenes a 7 p.m., including Dave Coury as administrative specialist in the Personnel Department.

Common Council is also seeking to fill vacancies for city manager, and successors for Jeff House, housing rehabilitation specialist, and Robert Chiappisi, code enforcement officer.

Bill Kerbin, community development director, also resigned, but it is unclear how that position may be filled.
