6,000 Carnations For Mom!

Bill Waller stands among 6,000 carnations his wife Carol, proprietor of Mohican Flowers in Cooperstown, co-ordered for several county schools – CCS ordered 2,400 – so pupils would have a flower to take home to mom on Valentine’s Day. The Friends of Bassett claimed 1,000 for its Valentine’s Soiree this Saturday at The Otesaga, and Springbrook, Focus, Milford Central and Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Central were among others participating. Carol said the in-school sales are handled by Honor Societies, which helps generates funds for their programs as well. (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
