IN MEMORIAM: Sally P. Sanford, 78;

Worked At Bassett Hospital For Years

Sally P. Sanford

GLOVERSVILLE – Sally P. Sanford, 78, an Oneonta native who worked for many years at Bassett Hospital, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.

She was born in Oneonta on March 12, 1940, and lived in Cooperstown, Sun City, Ariz.,, and most recently in Northville in the Adirondacks.

In addition for working at Bassett for many years, she volunteered for several organizations in Sun City, including her church and a cat rescue clinic. She received great pleasure from bird watching, doting over her cats, and spending time with family and friends.

Sally was a very strong, independent force of nature, who will be greatly missed.

Sally is survived by brothers Michael Patton (wife Annick) and Timothy Patton (Judy) of Arizona; daughters Karen Lange (Victor) of Northville, and JoAnne Iovoli (Louis) of Mendon, near Rochester.  Also, grandchildren Alexander Lange (wife Donna), Catherine Lange, Nicholas Lange, Madelyn Bradt, Michael Bradt, and by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother William, formerly of Oneonta.

Calling hours are 10 a.m.-noon Saturday Feb. 16, at the Northville Funeral Home. A luncheon will follow at a place to be announced.
