IN MEMORIAM: Elizabeth Herr, 62;
Drove Bus For Cherry Valley Schools
CHERRY VALLEY – Elizabeth (Liz) A. Herr, 62, who moved with her family from Brooklyn to Cherry Valley in 1971, passed away at Cooperstown Center on Jan. 3, 2020.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1957 in Brooklyn, daughter of Fredy E. And Loretta E. (Pabst) Herr.
Liz relocated with her family to Cherry Valley in June 1971. She graduated from Cherry Valley Central School in 1975.
Liz worked at various jobs including as a bus driver for the Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School. She was a member of the Cherry Valley Fire Department Auxiliary and the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church.
Liz was predeceased by her parents and a brother, David Herr. She is survived by brothers Fredy (Amy), Karl (Elizabeth), Philip (Diane) and Kenneth (Marque) Herr, sisters Corinne (Timothy) Fish and Kathleen (Mark) Crandall and sister-in-law Anita Herr. She is also survived by godchildren Janet Fish and Joshua Herr and many nieces and nephews.
Liz’s family wishes to thank the staff of Cooperstown Center for the many years of care they have provided.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Jan. 7, with a funeral service to follow at noon with Rev Lyman Johnson officiating; at the Ottman Funeral Home, 22 Church Street, Cherry Valley.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church.
