The Susquehanna SPCA and the Rotary Club of Cooperstown have combined to hold the Ultimutt Dog Show, a family-fun event on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the SQSPCA, 5082 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, across the road from Kevin’s Royal Ford.

Friendly, fun-loving dogs can be registered for one or two classes at a cost of $15 for one class or $25 for two. Each participant receives an Ultimutt Dog Show bandana and will have a chance to be move on to the final class to win Best in Show – the winner of the entire show. The classes include smallest dog, largest dog, cutest, ugliest, best tail wagger, best trick ,best costume and more! There will also be first, second, and third place winners in each class.

“This event gives folks an opportunity to show off their four-legged friends in a family-oriented environment, while supporting two awesome organizations actively involved in our community,” said Allison Hungerford of SQSPCA. “I’m most excited to see some of our cutest SQSPCA alumni who I hope will be coming to the show!”

“Rotary has always been such a wonderful partner for the Susquehanna SPCA,” said Stacie Haynes, Executive Director of SQSPCA. “We are thrilled to come together again to bring this new and exciting event to our community. Our goal is to spread awareness of our two organizations, which both work to improve the world around us, and also to raise funds to support our missions. We encourage folks to attend as either competitors in the dog show or spectators there to enjoy the fun.”

Families are encouraged to come with or without their dogs to watch the show and enjoy the activities — food trucks, vendors, activities for children, and more! Proceeds from the event benefit SQSPCA and the Cooperstown Rotary Club.

Register before June 10 at www.sqspca.org, where you also can find more information about the event.
