In Memory Of Dad, Former Fire Chief

Oneonta Family Y Executive Director Frank Russo, in top photo, is embraced by Jim Sawyer, former Crew 36 OFD firefighter, after he announced the opening of the Francis “Cootie” Russo Jr. playground on Scramling Avenue in memory of his father, a retired city fire chief who passed away last July.  Firefighter Shane Mattice looks on. “I have a huge family.” said the son. “I have my family, my Sixth Ward family and my firefighting family.
