Succeeds Horn At HoF
COOPERSTOWN – Jon Shestakofsky, Boston Red Sox manager of media relations & baseball information, has been named vice president/communications & education at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Beginning today, he succeeds Brad Horn, who is entering a fellowship program this summer at the University of Florida.
A 2005 graduate of Wesleyan University and a native of Belmont, Mass., Shestakofsky joined the Red Sox in 2007. Most recently, he was liaison with media, players and staff, and led all baseball information efforts. He also made significant contributions to the team’s publications. Previously, he was with the Lowell Spinners.
Shestakofsky “has a proven track record in a large market in traditional and digital strategic media and public relations, which will serve the museum well,” HoF President Jeff Idelson said in a statement.
Horn’s last day will be Friday, April 29. He joined the Hall in February 2002.
“Under (Brad’s) leadership, the Museum’s communications strategies and education programs have grown tremendously and its ties to the baseball community, strengthened,” said Idelson.
