CFOC Hosts Online Fundraising Day on Sept. 18
SPRINGFIELD—Mohawk Valley Gives, an annual one-day online fundraiser, returns on Friday, September 18 from noon to 9 p.m. Hosted by the Community Foundation of Otsego County in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Mohawk Valley Gives provides more than 90 participating Otsego County nonprofits with the opportunity to raise funds and win prizes using a secure online platform. Early giving began at noon on Monday, September 14.
Donors can visit www.givemv.org/info/otsego to view the listed nonprofits and give online to the organizations and causes that matter most to them. Every dollar donated supports important work done across Otsego County, including youth education and care, food programs, healthcare, senior programs, art, music, and much more.
This year, CFOC also offers a link to Feed Otsego at www.givemv.org/campaigns/feed-otsego, set up to specifically address hunger in Otsego County. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, Feed Otsego also provides a 4:1 match up to $10,000.00, turning every $1.00 donated into $5.00 donated.
This is the fourth year CFOC brings Mohawk Valley Gives to Otsego County, and from 2023- 2025, Otsego nonprofits received more than $830,000.00 in donations. CFOC also grants $300.00 to each nonprofit that participates and offers prizes for a variety of accomplishments during Mohawk Valley Gives, including greatest number of new donors, greatest number of donors, most successful environmental organization, along with others.
