Stabbing Probe Closed
ONEONTA – City police have closed the investigation into last Wednesday’s stabbing on Spruce Street, saying neither man involved wished to press charges.
“During the course of our investigation, both of them told us they were not interested in pursuing the case further,” said Lt. Douglas Brenner. “They just wanted to get on with life.”
The stabbing occurred near Hartwick College’s Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity house. It was believed that the two men, who did not know each other, were fighting. A 21 year old had a stab wound to the leg and a 20 year old had injuries from being punched.
