As Village Public Works Chief

Brian Clancy

COOPERSTOWN – Brian Clancy, village public works superintendent, will be retiring April 28 after 31 years with the village.

The mayor and trustees accepted his letter of retirement with regret at last night’s Village Board meeting.

“(We) thank Mr. Clancy for his service and dedication to the Village of Cooperstown, and wish him much success in his future endeavors,” the Village Board said in a statement.

In addition to leading the village crew, Clancy has served several terms at the village’s fire chief.
