Sugaring Off Sundays Begin

– Can Spring Be Far Behind?

When Sugaring Off Sundays begin at The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, can spring be far behind?  Despite temperatures slightly above single digits, the pancake business was brisk in the museum’s Louis Jones Center.  Servings continue until 1 p.m., and sugaring-related activities on the museum grounds, until 2. In top photo, Julu Alessi, 4, of Cooperstown, demonstrates she has the capacity to eat lots of flapjacks.   With her are mom Jo and sister Sofia, 3.  At right, Keelan Chu-For, visiting his Cooperstown in-laws, is served by Claire Satriano of Cooperstown, assisted by Richard Stelling, Oneonta.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
