Friends Hail Douglas Kent

For 49 Years At Hyde Hall

State Sen. Jim Seward, R-Milford, congratulates Douglas Kent for dedicating much of the last half-century on the improvement of Hyde Hall, the National Historic Landmark on Otsego Lake. In the center is Sally Graumlich, a colleague of Kent's on the Hyde Hall board. Two 1830s candlesticks, acquired in appreciation of Kent, got their inaugural lighting at a reception that followed. Then, everyone convened to a side dining room to examine a wall-to-wall carpet, a replica of the original woven by Rabbit Goodie's Thistle Hill Weavers, Cherry Valley, and installed in recent days.
