JoAnn Dress Shop Mural

Unveiled At History Center

“JoAnn Dress Shop,” the fourth of five murals planned on the Dietz Street side of the Oneonta History Center, was unveiled this afternoon, with two of the models – Julie Dostal (wearing the dress that appears in the mural) and Elizabeth Raphaelson – posing with the artist, Carol Mandigo.  JoAnn’s is depicted between murals of Gallin’s Jewelry and Laskaris’ candy store.  When complete, the murals will depict all of the occupants of 183 Main St., headquarters of the Greater Oneonta Historical Society and the oldest brick business block in downtown Oneonta.   Appropriately, Raphaelson is proprietor of a downtown clothing store, The Underground Attic at 133 Main.   (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
