COOPERSTOWN – Tickets are still available to hear novelist Margaret Atwood, the Canadian writer of “The Handmaid’s Tale” and other bestsellers, who will speak at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Glimmerglass Festival.

Atwood is an award-winning author of fiction, poetry and short stories. She is most recently known for the Hulu and Netflix adaptations of  “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Alias Grace.”

Atwood has been known to cover subjects such as killer robots, advice for writers, the environment and why she thinks the words of “O, Canada” should be changed.

Tickets for the event start at $55 and are available at www.glimmerglass.org or by phone at (607) 547-2255.
