IN MEMORIAM: Jamie A. Thompson, 39;

Mother of 3 Served On UV School Board

NEW BERLIN – Jamie April Thompson, 39, a Unadilla Valley Central school board member, passed away Sept. 7, 2018, at her home.

Jamie was born on April 9, 1979, in Sidney, the daughter of William & Rose (Hendrickson) Heath. Her childhood was spent in the Davenport area. She was a graduate of Charlotte Valley Central School. She operated Thompson Tiny Tots, a daycare in New Berlin, was employed by the New Berlin Red Apple and also served on the school board.

On May 26, 2002 she married Dwain Thompson who survives her.

In addition to her husband, Jamie is survived by her children; Emilee Rose Thompson, Seth William Thompson and Cody Keith Thompson all of New Berlin. She is also survived by two sisters: Priscilla Berk of Palmyra, Pa., and Victoria Heath of Davenport.

Jamie was a very loving daughter, sister, wife and mother. She was a giving person, a very hard worker and dear friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin, with  Pastor Dick Anderson officiating. Calling hours will be noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “The Thompson Tiny Tots” memorial fund for underprivileged children in the community in need of school supplies and clothing.
