Assemblyman Swears Fealty
To Constituents – And Bride
COBLESKILL – New Year’s Day, newly elected Assemblyman Chris Tague will be making two vows.
At 5 p.m., he will take the oath to uphold the laws of New York State in representing the 102nd Assembly District, which includes the towns of Cherry Valley, Roseboom, Decatur and Worcester in Otsego County.
He will then take the marriage vows, signaling the beginning of wedded bliss between Tague and Dana Buzon of Schoharie.
Both ceremonies are planned in SUNY Cobleskill’s Bouck Ballroom. A celebration following the wedding will include a DJ and an Irish pipe band.
The assemblyman and his bride-to-be have been dating for eight years. Two years ago Christmas Eve, the couple and their families were playing Boggle. He had placed the ring and “Will You Marry Me” in the cube, and she said yes, according to the assemblyman’s spokesman Brian Murphy.
Tague won a special in May to succeed Pete Lopez, who was appointed in 2017 as the regional director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, based in New York City. He then won election to a full term in November against Democrat Aidan O’Connor.
