Receive HoF Recognition

The New Yorker's legendary baseball writer, Roger Angell, and Eric Nadel, Texas Rangers' announcer, acknowledge the crowd's applause after receiving the J.G. Taylor Spink Award and C. Frick Award respectively as a ceremony in Doubleday Field Saturday afternoon. Joe Garagiola received the Buck O'Neil Lifetime Achievement Award, but because of a stroke last fall and heart attack two days before Christmas, was unable to attend. He spoke to the crowd via a pre-recorded video, and son Joe Jr. accepted the award on his father's behalf. (allotsego.com)
