Could there be any downside to accepting an invitation from Vincent Price to spend an evening in a creepy mansion built on something called “Haunted Hill?” Find out at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, as the Rifftrax guys from “Mystery Science Theater 3000” provide comedic commentary to a free public showing of the 1959 camp horror classic “House On Haunted Hill.” Cash bar, snacks available. What is Rifftrax, exactly?
According to Wikipedia: “RiffTrax are comedy audio commentaries of movies, television programs and short films featuring Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K) comedians Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett heckling (or riffing) films in the style of MST3K, a TV show in which Nelson was the head writer, and later the host.”
In other words, they make fun of the movie while we all watch it together. Costumes not required.”
