COOPERSTOWN – Carolyn Lowe Goetz, 84, of Shrewsbury, Mass., who co-founded Cooperstown’s former Leatherstocking Theatre Company with her husband, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted, loving husband of 61 years, George Edward Goetz, her daughters, Linda Goetz and her husband Kent Wittler, Newton Mass., Jeanne Vumbaca and her husband Dino Vumbaca, Hopkinton, Mass. and is predeceased by her daughter Susanne Goetz of Kensington, Md. Her loving grandchildren include, Ian Wittler and Max, Henry and Maya Vumbaca.

A Memorial service celebrating Carolyn’ s life will be at noon, Monday, Aug. 28, followed by a luncheon at Southgate at Shrewsbury. Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Planned Parenthood.
