Richfield Stewart’s Opening

Mike Shova, in top photo, of D&E Contracting, Albany, directs crew that today was paving the parking lot at the new Stewart’s Shop under construction on Main Street, Richfield Springs, since September on the site of the former Kinney Drugs.  Another sign of the Nov. 23 opening of the expanded Stewart’s was evident a quarter-mile to the east, where, in photo at right, a father-son team, Ray Judd Sr. and Ray Judd Jr., were attaching a “for sale” sign on the side of the current store.  The Judds’ Blue Bolt Fabrication, Rotterdam, works on Stewart facilities from Buffalo to Plattsburgh.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
