Trooper Hurt In Fight Along Interstate 88

At least one state trooper was injured in an altercation that took place near the Schenevus exit on I-88, according to Aga Dembinska, Troop C public relations.
According to Rob O’Brien, director, Otsego County 911, a passerby called 911 to report what appeared to be two subjects fighting along the side of the highway. State Police were dispatched to the scene and it was believed that the trooper was injured at the scene.

Cooperstown & Around Village to host concert series at Lakefront Park Cooperstown will host the Lakefront Concert series, which began Tuesday, July 6, and will take place every Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and non-alcoholic beverages. The next concert will be Tuesday, July 13, and will feature the Kennesaw Mountain Boys. Richfield to host concerts in the park The Richfield Springs ‘Concert in the Park’ series, a free event, will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesdays on state Route 20, starting Wednesday, July 14. COOPERSTOWN AND AROUND and CITY OF THE HILLS 20 Inches Of Snow On Way This Weekend As much as 20 inches of snow could fall on Otsego County this weekend, according to Accuweather. The strong snowstorm is predicted to start in the Midwest and sweep up central Pennsylvania and into central New York by Thursday or Friday. Though snow will start on Friday and continue on Saturday, the majority of the snow will fall on Sunday. Snow is also predicted through the rest of next week.
