Seek Larceny Suspect

Police believe this woman stole a purse from the lobby of the clinic at Bassett Hospital.

COOPERSTOWN – Cooperstown police are looking for tips on a woman who allegedly stole a purse from the outpatient clinic building of Bassett Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

The victim was sitting in the lobby near the pharmacy between 2:45-3:15 p.m. and left her purse on the bench. The suspect, described as a white female with dark hair, wearing a black coat and white pants, sat down next to the purse and took it when she left the clinic building.

If anyone has any information about this suspect, please contact the Cooperstown Police Department at (607) 547-2500 ext. 2.  All information will be kept confidential.

Accident Victim in Critical Condition COOPERSTOWN According to a report from the Cooperstown Police Department, on Thursday, June 8 at 4:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to a serious personal injury accident in front of 50 Lake Street in the Village of Cooperstown. Officers arrived on scene at 4:51 p.m. and found a pedestrian lying in the roadway unconscious, with serious head trauma.
