Our Most Famous Tree

Oneonta’s Katy Yager is among numerous passersby who are stopping at 72 Country Club, Oneonta, to snap photos of our most famous tree.  The spruce, owned by Angie and Greg Eichler, was chosen as the centerpiece of Rockefeller Center’s Christmas display this year.  Already – as you can see in the tree’s upper boughs – work is beginning on trussing the behemoth, which is due to be taken down Nov. 10 and unveiled to the public Nov. 30 in one of New York City’s most famous Christmas venues.  (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
