Winsor Retires As Deputy Clerk;

Village Trustees Hire Successor

COOPERSTOWN – With thanks, Mayor Ellen Tillapaugh this evening announced the resignation of Deputy Village Clerk Pat Winsor, former longtime Milford village clerk, at the Village Board meeting.

“She came out of retirement to help us out and we were really glad that she did,” Tillapaugh said.

Tillapaugh continued that Winsor would receive a gift from the Village of Cooperstown “in recognition of her dedicated service.”

Five candidates were interviewed by Village Clerk Jenna Utter and Trustee Joe Membrino. “They were all, shall I say, very good candidates, so this was actually kind of a hard decision,” Tillapaugh said.

That said, “one really sort of stood out,” Andrea Vazquez, Tillapaugh added.  “She already worked part-time at and so had expertise as a registrar and was a notary, et cetera so very familiar with the operations of a municipal township and village.”

The trustees, unanimously, hired Vazquez at $21 an hour.
