IN MEMORIAM: Dorothy J. Zeh, 81;

Worked For Years At Oneonta Sears

DAVENPORT CENTER – Dorothy J. Zeh, 81, mother of four, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at Chestnut Park Rehab. & Nursing Center.

She was born July 16, 1935 in Laurens, the daughter of the late Edward E. and Marguerite (George) Oliver. Dorothy graduated from Laurens Central School. On Sept. 13, 1953, she married Burnett H. Zeh, Sr. in Laurens. Burnett predeceased her on June 27, 2006.

For many years Dorothy was the parts manager and then worked in the catalog department at Sears in Oneonta.

In her younger years she enjoyed crocheting. She loved to go camping, play cards and square dance with her husband. But what brought the most joy and smiles to Dorothy were her grandchildren and then her great grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them.
Dorothy is survived by four children, Marguerite “Peggy” Zeh, Oneonta, Darlene and William Carrington, Oneonta, Donna Bates, Afton and Burnett H. and Joann Zeh, Jr., Hartwick; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Provenzano, Jeanette and Pete Tolson, Mathew and Nikki Zeh, Burnett H. and Katie Zeh, III, Corey Bates, Christopher Zeh, Todd Carrington, Barbara Reid, Dominick Zeh and Michelle Ryon; 11 great grandchildren, Karly Tolson, Mariah Provenzano, James Provenzano, Madison Morgan, Olivia Tolson, Molly Tolson, Ezekial Burger, Makenzie Bates, Rebecca Ryon, Bentley Zeh and Ford Lester. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Danielle Dyer; five siblings, Evelyn, Cliff, Avis, Helen and Vivian.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Dr. Joseph Rufrano Assistant Pastor at Spirit & Truth Christian Assembly officiating.
