COOPERSTOWN – Bobby Walker, the Cooperstown Central School senior who chairs the Otsego County Young Republicans, has received a ticket from U.S. Rep. John Faso, R-19, to attend Donald J. Trump’s inauguration Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C.

Walker had served as a volunteer in Faso’s just-completed Congressional campaign, where he defeated Democrat Zephyr Teachout Nov. 8 to succeed retiring Congressman Chris Gibson.

Walker plans to make the trip with some pals, leaving Otsego County by 4 a.m. to arrive in time. “My friends are going to the parade and getting good seats while I go to the ceremony.”

He hopes to attend either SUNY Albany or Gettysburg College next year, majoring in political science or pre-law.  He loves campaign managementing and said, “I’m good at talking to people. I know how to communicate with the public well.”
