Faso Medicaid Exemption

Decried To County Board

Richard Sternberg, the Cooperstown trustee and retired physician, who has been recruiting candidates to run for Otsego County offices in the fall, objects to a resolution supporting the Faso-Collins amendment, which would require the State of New York to pay for any Medicaid shortfalls, not counties like Otsego. After hearing dissent at its July meeting last Wednesday, the county board withdrew the resolution. (from videotape by Karen Sullins)
