The new logo and branding, designed by Paperkite Creative of Cooperstown, focuses on the name, “Fenimore,” in vibrant red.

“The name Fenimore is unique among art museums, and it’s how the museum is commonly identified. For that reason, we felt that it should be prominently reflected in the logo and branding,” said Todd Kenyon, director of marketing and communications.

“The new logo also places an emphasis on the word ‘more’ within the name, which is exactly what our visitors find when they arrive at the museum – more than they expected – more art, more culture, and more discovery.”

The new logo will be accompanied by a refreshed brand campaign and a newly designed, easier-to-navigate website, expected to launch in the spring.

“Coming off a record-breaking season, the new logo and branding signify the current strength and direction of the Fenimore,” said NYSHA President Paul S. D’Ambrosio. “Each year, we receive national attention for our uniquely conceived exhibitions, and the bold visual of the new branding is a suitable match.”

Fenimore’s 2017 season begins April 1 with worked by Maurice Sendak, creator of the famous book “Where the Wild Things Are,” with “50 Years, 50 Works, 50 Reasons, Maurice Sendak: The Memorial Exhibition.”
