15 Line Up To Adopt  Lhaso Apsos

Carol Boulay, a Fly Creek native now living in Davenport, lined up in the rain at 6:15 a.m. to be first in line to adopt one of the Lhasa Apsos among 53 surrendered to the Susquehanna Animal Shelter last week. She had pre-picked a name for her new pet: Suzy Q.  About 15 would-be pet owners – from as far away as Utica and Rome – were waiting in line when the shelter opened the adoption process shortly before noon, and were brought in, three at a time, to choose one of the dogs surrendered by a Milford woman when it was determined she could not properly care for them.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
