Scanlon Needs To Start Showing Up

As an Otsego County resident but also as someone who has run, and is currently, running for office, I firmly agree with County Representative Basile and former County Representative Lapin’s statements about incumbent County Representative Donald Scanlon’s absence from the committee that he has been in charge of.

The incumbent needs to take off his blinders from his eyes and the plugs from his ears to be there for his constituents and to be seen and heard at the committee meetings he has been in charge of.

There is a quote from “The West Wing” that resonates with this: “Decisions are made by those who show up.” The incumbent needs to learn from this lesson.
