Health Dashboard Brings Local Data, Community Resources Together

OTSEGO COUNTY—The Mohawk Valley Behavioral Health IPA, in collaboration with the Bassett Research Institute, has launched the Otsego Health Matters Population Health Dashboard, an interactive online platform that brings together local health data and community resources to support healthier communities throughout Otsego County.

Available at www.otsegohealthmatters.org, the dashboard provides community residents, healthcare providers, public health professionals, community organizations, researchers, and local leaders with access to population health indicators, behavioral health trends, demographic information, social determinants of health, and customizable reports that can inform planning and decision-making.

According to a press release, the project was developed by the Mohawk Valley Behavioral Health IPA with support from the Bassett Research Institute and made possible through a grant from Otsego County Opioid Settlement Funds. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to using trusted local data to address community health priorities, identify promising practices for the highest quality care and strengthen collaboration across Otsego County.

“Improving community health begins with understanding our community,” said Marion Mossman, director of the Mohawk Valley Behavioral Health IPA. “Otsego Health Matters provides a single destination where data and community come together, helping organizations and residents make informed decisions that improve health and well-being.”

Officials said the dashboard “will continue to expand with new indicators, reports, and resources, serving as a long-term asset for community health assessment, strategic planning, grant development, identifying promising practices, and cross-sector collaboration.”
