Daniel Gary Brisack
1947-2026

WOODLAND—Born on April 12, 1947, Dan Brisack was a veteran of the United State Marines, where he also fought in Vietnam. Dan worked much of his life as a machinist at Amphenol in Sidney, New York and many years alongside his dad in their machine shop, L&L Machinery. Outside of work, he enjoyed the outdoors, particularly deer hunting and fishing, activities that brought him great joy and tranquility.

Dan passed away on August 19, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Brisack; his mother, Hilda Bielby Brisack; his son, Sean Michael Bourn; his daughter, Shawna Marie Bourn; his sister, Loretta Daniels, and her husband, Francis; his brothers, Jerry Brisack and Gordon Brisack; and his two nephews, Mark and Kip Daniels.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Brisack; his siblings, Linda Brisack Thayer, Carol Currie and husband Bud, and David Brisack; his son, Travis Brisack and wife Kristi and their sons, Alek and Quinton; and Dan’s daughter, Phyllis Wheeler. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Cody Bourn, wife Kortney Ann and their daughter, Ellie Ann; Shelby Bourn and her fiancé, Jasper Brinks; Brendan Wheeler; Sean Wheeler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dan will be remembered fondly for his warmth, kindness and love for the simple pleasures in life.
