Delayed a day by rain, the Otsego Lake Association held its annual Fourth of July Boat Parade on Otsego Lake on Sunday, July 4.
With Paul Lord as captain, the OLA lead boat, the ‘Anondontoides,’ owned by SUNY Oneonta’s Biological Field Station, starts the parade.

Oneonta Mayor Gary Herzig takes a turn in the dunk tank Sunday, July 4, in Neahwa Park. To get the opportunity to dunk Herzig and other city officials required a donation to the Oneonta’s Hunger Coalition. Springfield
With the 2021 Springfield Fourth of July Parade canceled, organizers switched to a “drive-by parade” where participants decorated their lawns. The first-prize winner was the Guilfoyle family for their double-display of antiques. Second place went to the Sikkema family, and third place to Roedale Farm.
