Jennifer Huntington, 56;

Farmer, Youth Mentor

COOPERSTOWN – Jennifer Kaye Huntington, owner of Cooperstown Holstein Corp., died Dec. 30, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Jennifer participated in medical research on cancer treatments and surgeries, hoping to help those who would continue the fight when she no longer could.
Born Feb. 28, 1962, Jennifer was the oldest of five daughters born to Peter and Evelyn (Ellis) Huntington.
She attended Cooperstown Central School and followed her father’s footsteps in attending Cornell University.
A skilled cytologist, Jennifer returned to managing her family’s farm, partnering with her father until his death in 2008. Jennifer continued his vision of promoting the dairy industry and supporting local youth through dairy activities.
She shared these passions, values, and commitments with her daughter, Molly Watson, her stepson, Andrew Watson, and her companion, Eric Watson, thus creating a strong family legacy.
Jennifer volunteered numerous hours each week supporting programs for youth, the dairy industry, agriculture, animal care, and land sustainability.
In her leisure time, Jennifer was an avid knitter, testing patterns for designers and creating one-of-a-kind works of art.
A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be planned for the summer.
Anyone wishing to honor her may do so by contributing to a youth, dairy, or animal service program.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tillapaugh Funeral Service.
