Honored For Service To CCS

Five Teachers Receive Tenure

As Part of Afternoon Ceremony

Mary Leonard, left, was recognized for her service as the Board of Education’s Vice President for 12 years, in a ceremony at Cooperstown High School this afternoon. Also honored was  Jim Brophy, center, who has served as Interim Administrator since 2016 and the district a total of 42 years. Five teachers also received tenure. From left, Leonard, Irene Kenison, licensed teaching assistant, Ann Meccariello, Elementary Principal, Brophy, Amanda Chase, teacher of English to speakers of other languages, and Mary Clare Roberts, licensed master social worker . Not pictured is Emily Huston, elementary teacher, who also received tenure.
