ALL INCUMBENTS RUNNING AGAIN

MacGuire Benton Seeks

Full Village Board Term

Benton

COOPERSTOWN – Trustee MacGuire Benton has announced he plans to seek a full term on the Village Board to make sure Cooperstown “continues to be a vibrant and quaint community for all.”

That means all three Village Board incumbents, Mayor Ellen Tillapaugh Kuch and Trustee Joe Membrino, plan to seek reelection in March 2020.

Benton, now an assistant Democratic county elections commissioner, was raised in Cooperstown, graduated from CCS and attended Cazenovia College.

While in high school, he chaired the Otsego County Young Democrats and is currently a co-vice-chairman of the Otsego County Democratic Committee.

He was elected last March to a one-year term, and has chaired the Doubleday Field Advisory Committee and served on the Parks Board.
