Mount Vision Post Office

Closes Friday For Repairs

MOUNT VISION – Postal officials report the Mount Vision Post Office at 2363 Route 205 will close for repairs, starting tomorrow.

Customers will be directed to the Laurens Post Office, 55 Brooks St., in Laurens, which is open 8 a.m.-noon weekdays, and 7:45-11 a.m. on Saturdays.

The mail transfer will occur at mid-morning, and should be available in Laurens by late morning.  Be prepared to show identification.

There will be no change to regular mail delivery on Friday for the 456 customers served by the Mount Vision rural route.  Oversized or signature required items will be available in the Laurens Post Office during the repair period.

Officials indicate the office is being closed to address safety and sanitation issues.  There is no target date available at this time for the Mount Vision office to reopen.
