New County Chair Selected

COOPERSTOWN—The Otsego County Board of Representatives elected Edwin Frazier Jr., a Republican from District 1 (Unadilla) as board chair on Wednesday, January 3. Outgoing Chair David Bliss, R-District 7, had served in the position for six one-year terms. Bliss, along with Democrats Andrew Marietta, Nora Mendez, Adrienne Martini and Jill Basile, voted against Frazier’s nomination in a 9-5 vote. The board also unanimously confirmed Margaret Kennedy, R-District 5, as vice chair.
