Oneonta gets
comeback win
over Owego

Oneonta fought back from a 7-0 deficit to pull out a 9-7 win at Owego in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference baseball game Thursday, June 2.

Trailing 7-3 entering the seventh inning, Oneonta rallied with two outs, scoring six runs.

Aidan Gelbsman delivered the big hit with a bases-clearing, opposite-field double to give Oneonta the lead.

Tanner Russin picked up the win with five innings of one-hit ball. Russin entered the game in the third inning and shut out Owego over the last five innings.

Oneonta (7-7) awaits its seeding for the Section IV Class B tournament, which is scheduled to begin Monday, June 7.
